Hi, I'm Ana, the facilitator of the JOY retreat in Peru.
I was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but for the past 2 years, I live in Peru. Every day, I fall a little bit more in love with this country, its locals, and the wonderful community of international travellers living here, just like me. I am honored to share Peru's beauty with you — in love, joy, and a bit of adventure.

What will happen in this retreat?
We will explore our curiosity, things that touch our hearts, things we believe in, things we hope for, things we value, and things that matter to us. This retreat is a portal to living a more joyful life, one that is more aligned to what we truly want.
Where exactly is the retreat holding place?
We will be based in Pisac, with occasional tours to nearby villages, and ancient sites, such as Machu Picchu.
Pisac is an ancient Inca city, located at nearly 3,000 meters above sea level. The local population speaks their ancient language, Quechua, as well as Spanish. This small town in the Sacred Valley was an important Inca settlement, especially for agriculture and religion. Unlike some ancient sites, Pisac is both an archaeological site and a living town, where local people continue traditions that are centuries old.
What about the accommodation?
Accommodation is in a beautiful retreat centar, with options for single or shared rooms (2 – 3 people). The retreat house is designed to hold retreats, so it offers a comfortable interior with big shared spaces, lush green outside space and surrounding mountain views — with everything that you could need or want.
What workshops will be offered?
Everyday, we will have the option to attend a workshop, to learn about Peruvian ways of prayer and honoring their traditions, to energetic practices that can support our staying centred in our energy, to psycho-shamanic practices to dive deeper into our inner world and claim our true nature.
We will have hiking tours, sacred plants ceremonies, ecstatic dance, connection with elements rituals, tobacco prayers, sacred fire circles, cacao soul-sessions, and energetic practice sessions. Everything is optional, our focus will be to allow space for you to find your resonance with practices and events YOU WANT to attend.
What is the usual type of people who are coming to these retreats?
There is no type in the physical sense, but what is universal is that all people who come to Peru are usually brave souls with incredible life stories, and a deep soul call to explore ancient wisdom this land has to offer.
